Already in the month of August, the CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, had announced new features for the messaging application. were announced the print lock, the ability to hide online status, and the ability to view previous group members.
The blocking feature now comes into your test phase, in the beta version of WhatsApp, where features and functions are tested before being officially released.

The screen capture lock feature aims to improve and increase user privacy control.
The new function consists of block screenshots of media sent in instant messages between app users.
However, the function only blocks, for the time being, images sent with a single view, and it is not possible to block print for all images.
How it works is as follows: when a user activates the screen capture lock and another user tries to capture the screen of a single view image, in his print the image will be darkened.
The new function is still only available to users who are members of the Google Play Beta testing program, and must go through the testing period before launch.
The function still performs the extension lock from third parties who try to find loopholes in the application's security and privacy.
The user will have full control over the new function, being able to turn it on and off as many times as you want and need, bringing even more control to the user.
It is worth remembering that the app does not prevent another user from taking pictures of the screen and, consequently, of the images, even single-view ones, with the camera of another cell phone or digital camera.
When will the feature officially launch?
As said, the new feature of the WhatsApp application is only available for the beta version, on the Android operating system, bringing the app to version 2.22.22.3.
Test users use the new features and give feedback to WhatsApp, so developers may or may not make improvements depending on what they get back.
The date for the official launch of the WhatsApp screenshot lock has yet to be announced by the Meta group. It is common knowledge, however, that the feature must undergo a testing period on the iOS system as well before it is officially released in the stable version of the application.
