To get the CURP document for free on your cell phone, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the website of Government;
  2. Click on the “Personal Data” option;
  3. Insert your data in the form: first and last name, date of birth, gender and other requested data;
  4. Upon completing the form, citizens will be able to view the document and download it in PDF format.

What is the use of CURP?

CURP has several uses for Mexican citizens, including the following:

  • Register with the SAT;
  • Process the voting credential (INE);
  • Enroll in a level of study;
  • Apply for passport;
  • Get a job;
  • Apply for credit or microcredit;
  • Access health services.

Documents for taking the CURP

For citizens who are natural from Mexico, the following documents are required to apply for CURP:

  • Birth certificate;
  • CURP non-registration certificate;
  • Mexican nationality certificate (if you do not have a birth certificate);
  • Official identification (passport, professional card, voting card, identity card, IMSSS or ISSSTE card).
