Applications for digitally signing documents

We brought it. In today's article, applications for digitally signing documents available for Android and iOS, free of charge.

It is very simple, nowadays, to sign documents digitally using applications.

It is no longer necessary to scan or print a document to sign it, and everything can be done digitally.

Adobe Acrobat Reader

As the first app, we have Adobe Acrobat Reader, which features the Portuguese language and the user can log in through Facebook, Gmail and Apple, with an account linked to an Adobe ID.

After registering, to sign a document, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the “Fill out and Sign” option on the home screen;
  • Select a file to be signed.
  • When signing, you can use a virtual pen or insert an image of the signature from the gallery;
  • After signing the document, you can share it on other platforms and via email.
  • It is still possible to save the signed document in the cell phone gallery or in the cloud.

The application only accepts documents in PDF format.

Every digital signature the user makes through the app is stored in Adobe Reader, making it available for use in later documents.

Microsoft 365 (Office)

As a second application, we brought Microsoft 365 (Office), which has a section for digitally signing documents, free of charge.

Check out the steps to sign your document through the app:

  • Log in to the application using a Microsoft account;
  • Then, go to the “Actions” option, which is in the bottom menu;
  • Then go to “Sign a PDF”;
  • Choose a document to sign;
  • Sign up by tapping the cell phone screen;
  • You can move the signature made to any place within the document, in addition to being able to change the color of the writing;
  • After finishing signing the document, you can share it on other platforms and keep the signature saved for later use.

The application, like the previous one, only accepts the signing of documents in PDF format.

Microsoft 365 (Office) can be found at android and iOS.

DocuSign

The last application, called DocuSign, allows the user to digitally sign documents after logging into the app with their email and password.

Using the app, you can open documents in PDF or image format, uploading from the gallery or other apps, such as Google Drive.

The app also allows the user to scan printed documents using the camera.

To scan the document, go to the “More” option.

To sign a document, go to the “Sign Now” option, being able to use the virtual pen.

The documents that are signed are stored on the device and can be shared on other platforms.

In its free version, the app allows the user to forward three files that have been signed, without allowing a screenshot to be taken during the action.
