How to apply for Bolsa do Povo de São Paulo

The state governor, João Doria, created a project that creates Bolsa do Povo in São Paulo, with the aim of once again reaching families who are without means, benefiting 2 million people.

Bolsa do Povo da Educação will employ 20,000 student guardians in various roles, working 4 hours a day.

The Bolsa do Povo initiative involves hiring parents or guardians from public schools for various services such as: cleaning, cooking and general services.

The family will receive R$500.00 within a period of six months upon completion of the services. The goal
The aim of the project is to bring parents closer to the school and also as a way of helping people who are out of work.

How to participate

  • See the criteria to be followed to find out if you can participate in the program:
  • Parents or guardians of the student who is enrolled in a public school;
  • Be between 18 and 59 years old;
  • Be unemployed for at least three months;
  • And who lives 2 km away from the school;

And there are other criteria that give preference to participation.

Being them:

  • Be registered in the single registry;
  • Live closer to the school;
  • Be of legal age;
  • Have the child enrolled in the school of interest;
  • Being the mother of a student in the state network.

How to apply for the Program

  1. Go to the program’s website page and click on “education”.
  2. There will be information on the screen regarding the program, so read it carefully, and then click the “register” button.
  3. Fill in the mandatory fields such as CPF, full name, address, date of birth and enter the time you have been unemployed
  4. To be able to benefit from Bolsa Povo, you must not have Covid-19, so click on “next step”;
  5. Select three schools close to your home within 2 km and then tap “Next step”.

You have finished registering, and now you just need to wait for a response from the São Paulo State Government. However, there is still no further information about the release of results, but in relation to employability, it will start on August 16th and run until the end of the year.

Candidates will be chosen according to the program rules after registration, including an interview.
